Also included is the author's history of Tang Soo Do and the list classical Korean Tang Soo Do Hyungs that were shared among the many Korean Kwans teaching Tang Soo Do after World War II, the relationship between Hyungs and it's animal symbol are discussed, the importance to Tang Soo Do belonging to the early Korean Kwans and the early Kwan leaders. Also included is a table of all the early Kwans and details of the Kwan's founders and many styles taught at each Kwan is included. Over 200 drawings of movements for the reader to understand each step of each Hyung making this book one of the finest and complete available for learning beginning and intermediate Tang Soo Do Hyungs. Each drawing is numbered and matches with a numbered written instruction provided. Simple line drawings are included matching Hyung movements and directions of motion for each of step of the Hyung. Also included is a high level perspective drawing of the area a practitioner moves through as the Hyung is executed. These diagrams allows the practitioner to see the Hyungs in several perspectives to better understand what the creator had intended. This book is to be used only as a memory aid to supplement the formal instructions from an experienced Black Belt Tang Soo Do Instructor.
